Denali Ice Breaker Tournament

September 7th the Nanooks lost against the Seawolves of Anchorage with set one ending in a 17/25, set two ending with 25/18, and the final set closing out at 17/25, overall resulting in a loss for the Nanooks with a 3/0 game.

After the loss to the Nanooks largest rivals, the Women’s Volleyball team made a comeback for the rest of the tournament. When playing against the Biola Eagles, Biola won the first set with a 25/17 score. Set two was a turnover for the Nanooks with a 18/25 score and the final two sets landed at a 17/25 score resulting in a win for the Nanooks at a 1/3.

During the Nooks final game for the Ice Breaker Tournament they played against Stanislaus St. The first set ended with a score of 16/25, the second set ended in 25/22, and the third set ended in 20/25. The Nooks volleyball team finished out the game with a 18/25 set resulting in a 1/3 win.

There was no doubt the Nanooks Volleyball team was going to come on top for their fans, and this was shown to be true when the team broke out in dance when the song “Church Clap” by KB played.
